About

Sarah is a 21 year old queer painter, transplanted in Metrowest Boston from Western Massachusetts. Her specialty lies within contemporary impressionism. Beneath all the impasto-painted layers of vibrant colors, you can find the core of Sarah's passion. She speaks the language of color, and writes down her thoughts through acrylic paint and a palette knife.

Since Sarah's journey into recovery from a life-threatening eating disorder and in quest of stability within bipolar disorder, she began to paint. In 2014 she picked up painting as art therapy, and in 2015 started a serious practice of study. It is easy to see that Sarah studied the works of Monet and van Gogh early in her career. She is self-taught, although spends time within her craft to continue her studies.

When Sarah isn't in front of her easel, you can find her making cup after cup of matcha, playing with her disabled dog, and watching netflix with her partner. Spring and summer are the best times of year for Sarah, who loves to collect and press flowers, go fruit picking, and drive with the windows down.
